Even If

even if I return from
a jungle
reciting ten foreign names
for the lashes across my tongue
or stroll up
a beach
as a barefooted breeze
combs my hangover

peace you won’t have
me

even
if you find me tomorrow
and say it was all a
farce or a feeling and
here I am now have me
